Blooming Inspiration: How to Create Abstract Lily Art

Image
Do you want to create abstract Lily art? Simply follow these easy steps: Step 1. Take a photograph of the lilies that inspired you (or find an image online).  Step 2. Do some initial ink sketches. Explore style, composition and texture. Step 3. Design your final artwork. I sketch the design in pencil, then paint, add ink lines and add coloured tissue paper for additional texture and depth. I also add additional patterns and colours around the flowers. Step 4. Manipulate your photos, ink drawings and painting on a collage app (I like to use InShot). You can create a variety of different designs which play around with the composition and create a contemporary look. Materials Needed: Watercolour paper, paints (watercolour or gouache), ink pens, coloured pencils, tissue paper and glue Most of all ‘HAVE FUN!’  And remember ‘VariARTy is the life of art!’ Lily Photograph: My Inspiration Initial Ink Sketch: Step-by-Step Final Ink Sketch Final Artwork: Step-by-Step Final Artwork: Abstr...
